Marjorie Taylor Greene was praised on Russia Today television after opposing the House vote on US military aid to Ukraine.

In a discussion about Greene, Margarita Simonian, editor-in-chief of the RT television network, a Kremlin spokeswoman, used complimentary terms – including about the Republican politician’s physical appearance.

“Marjorie Taylor Greene is a beauty. She is one of the few members of the US Congress who is trying to look like a person in the old sense of the word,” said Simonian, during an appearance on the talk show “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov”, broadcast by the Russia-1 channel .

“She’s a blonde, wearing white coats with fur collars. She is demonstrably straight,” Simonian continued.

The support of Ukraine by the United States is very controversial in the Republican Party, with many legislators of this party demanding that no more funds be allocated for this purpose.

After half a year of deadlock, Johnson presented a financing package for Kiev in mid-April, drawing the resentment of the radical wing of the Republican Party. The House of Representatives approved the package a few days later, but only 101 Republican congressmen voted for it, while 112 voted against it.

Motions to dismiss the president of the House of Representatives can be submitted by any of the congressmen.

The former speaker, Republican Kevin McCarthy, was fired last October as a result of such a move, after he was accused by a group of Trump supporters of colluding with Democrats on Ukraine , during the political negotiations for the approval of the budget.
