“I don’t think that Ukraine is willing to make any compromise and give up its territory. “I don’t think the Ukrainian military will collapse, even if things are pretty tough (for them – no), at least until American help arrives,” Clark said in an interview with the quoted source.

“And I don’t think Russia is willing to give up, so it’s a test of endurance, and it’s also a test of national will, and whether the United States and NATO are going to remain steadfast in supporting a democracy under siege,” he added .

Wesley Clark makes these comments as Ukraine eagerly awaits the arrival of new US weapons and equipment. In parallel, Russia is preparing its summer offensive and claims to be advancing on the battlefield.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky remains steadfast in his commitment to repel the Russian invasion. Like Western leaders, he warns that Russia will attack other European states if it wins in Ukraine.

According to Clark, the war in Ukraine cannot be viewed in terms of time. “It is a critical situation affecting global security,” he stressed.

In his view, if Ukraine loses, Europe will face a huge security crisis, and the Chinese may feel emboldened to attack Taiwan to annex it by force.

The US reserve general believes Russia will try a “big game” this coming summer, which is to gain as much ground as possible until US help arrives.

“It will be a terrible time in Ukraine and for the West, after which the summer will probably end with a Ukrainian counter-offensive to regain much of the lost territory. 2025 can be decisive,” concluded Wesley Clark.
