American propagandist Tucker Carlson glorifies Dughin. Interview with “Putin’s brain”, in Moscow

The American propagandist Tucker Carlson published an interview with the Russian philosopher Aleksandr Dughin, who is considered the ideologue of the “Russian world” and dictator Vladimir Putin. Dughin is known for his radical ideas, anti-Semitic and xenophobic speech, and calls for genocide in Ukraine.

The conversation lasted 20 minutes and was published on Tucker Carlson’s X account. The journalist, who also recently interviewed Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, said that Dughin “is the most famous political philosopher in Russia.” “His ideas are considered so dangerous that the Ukrainian government killed his daughter and Amazon won’t sell his books. I talked to him in Moscow,” Carlson said.

Western media have described Dughin as “Putin’s mastermind” due to his alleged influence over President Vladimir Putin and the Russian elite. Carlson notes, however, that “he is a writer who writes about big ideas” and that he is not a close adviser to Putin.

Carlson and Dughin discussed topics such as the nature of liberalism and the changing attitude of the West towards Russia over time.

In the interview, Dughin praised Putin, who he said was so “hated” by the West because he “wants to extract Russia from global influence” and restored “traditional values, state sovereignty.” Dughin is among the main instigators of the war and genocide of Ukrainians. During the interview, Tucker Carlson again found himself in a “silent listener” position, giving the Kremlin ideologue a chance to speak to an audience of millions about Putin as a defender of “traditional values.”

Recently, Dughin published a message on his Telegram channel calling for the occupation of Jerusalem. He wrote that Jerusalem “is a Russian city, the mother of all cities. Jerusalem will be a Russian city or it will not exist at all. And the one who will lead it will be the Russian Tsar”.

In 2022, Dughin said that the war in Ukraine is “a holy war”. “It is a holy fight against the satanic West. It is an orthodox, final, apocalyptic, eschatological battle of Russian Christians, of holy Russia against the antichrist,” says Dughin.

In 2022, Daria Dughina, Dughin’s daughter, was killed in Moscow in a bombing that Russian authorities say was orchestrated by Ukrainian agents. Several media outlets later quoted unnamed US intelligence officials as saying that Washington believed Ukrainian authorities were indeed involved in the assassination.
