“Today most people confuse the Artificial Intelligence (AI) revolution with a more mundane ‘industrial revolution’. And it is believed that hypermodern machines are just more sophisticated computers that will depend entirely on humans. Instead, what awaits us is an upheaval in our way of living and – it must be said – of ‘existence’, without any precedent in human history. We are only one year away from the point of no return,” is Musk’s shocking statement, quoted by FT.com. The statement was made in the podcast made on X by Elon Musk and Nicolai Tangen, the executive director of Norges Bank Investment Management.
Human intelligence will be surpassed
“I suspect that probably by the end of 2025, we will have artificial intelligence that will surpass the intelligence of all of humanity.”
Elon Musk says that this impressive technological evolution of AI could have happened even faster, and that point of “no return” would have already been reached if this amazing development had not been slowed down by the lack of chips. However, the chip crisis will be overcome very soon. “People couldn’t get enough Ndivia chips,” the billionaire explained.

The shocking prophecy related to two other great dangers
Another danger that directly affects the owner of the Tesla electric car factory concerns the enormous need for electricity required by new technologies. And we’re not just talking about AI, we’re also talking about electric cars. According to some estimates, if more than 50% of the current world car park were no longer based on internal combustion engines, but based on electric cars, there would not be enough electricity on the global grid to power them. In this case, there would be the risk of dramatic falls in the electrical networks that would affect people’s daily life, including the operation of the most common household appliances.
The second major danger, but strictly related to the development of AI, is that of how AI can be controlled. The governments of the world are trying to create strict regulations to limit the potential dangers generated by the use of AI. But it is enough for some dictator of the moment to disregard these regulations for all of humanity to be in danger, given that all forms of AI in the world are connected and communicating with each other. And if they were programmed or misused, the consequences are incalculable.
