A new term in the case of Vlad Pascu, the author of the May 2 accident, takes place on Thursday, May 9, at the Mangalia Court. At the deadline, several people are interviewed, including the parents of the victims and the young people who were injured in the accident caused by Pascu.

“I have had four surgeries to date. Three on the hand and one on the foot. I had a nerve transplant. It is a very difficult operation. It took almost 10 hours. (…) My life changed radically after this accident. Nothing is the same anymore. I went to a psychologist for a while. I needed specialized treatment. I couldn’t leave the house. I have nightmares at night. And I’m afraid to drive. I saw the two deceased. We were college mates and very good friends. There are images that I cannot describe. I have an immobilized hand now. He doesn’t do much activity anymore because of his injuries. I was going to apply for a flight attendant position, but I can’t do that anymore. Because of the accident,” Ionescu Cristina Iuliana, the victim, declared in court, according to Ziua de Constanța.

During the court session, one of Vlad Matei Pascu’s lawyers requested the indication of a bank account, and the courtroom replied:

“You think you can buy everything with money” and “Can you give our children back?”

The grandmother of Roberta Dragomir, the young woman who died in the accident on May 2, was also interviewed:

Lose weight quickly and easily with the help of Lipovon. Natural ingredients. Immediate delivery.

“I am very affected by the loss of my niece. The whole family is affected. We often go to church and the cemetery. He lived with me since he was 2 years old. I had a very close relationship with my niece. We were a beautiful family. Parents are very affected. We cry when we see her picture. We often go to both the accident site and the grave,” said Voinea Ruxandra.

The second victim injured in the accident on May 2, Koniac Alexandru, made revelations about the consequences of the accident.

“Following the accident, my life changed 180 degrees. I lost my job. My recovery will take 2 years, according to the doctors. I will not be able to use my hand for physical work. Recovery will be around 80%. It will not be a full recovery. It is necessary for me to continue doing physiotherapy and kinesitherapy sessions. After the accident, I acquired great fears. I have a great fear of all things cars. I have nightmares and will continue to have nightmares. I always dream of the two deceased. They were very good friends. What I saw at the scene of the accident… I cannot describe in words what I saw. My life changed completely. It’s harder for me in college. I’m in my last year at university. I’m going to take my degree,” said the young man.

Also, at the Thursday deadline, the mother of Roberta Dragomir was heard, who spoke about how the tragedy of May 2nd completely changed her life.

“We have psychological trauma! When my girl left, she told me that we would see each other on Monday, but that Monday never came… My sister called me and told me that Roberta is no longer here, that there was a road accident. We don’t leave the house anymore. We are mentally affected. We no longer have a social life. I did not see the child after the accident. It just came in the coffin. The coffin was sealed. She was so broken that she could not be dressed. The last time I saw her alive was when she left home. Roberta was a sociable person, she wanted to become a teacher. She was loved by her colleagues.”

Sebi’s mother, Mihaela Olariu, gave statements in court, on Thursday, during the last court term in the May 2 case.

“We have no life left! We are not a family anymore. We were a united family. Now I take sleeping pills. Everything is robotic. We go to work because we have to go to work. I sleep with my daughter in my hand. I go to Sebi’s room every day and say goodnight to him. I say Sebi is gone. Not that he was dead. And that he will return. Our life as a family is over. The cemetery became our second home. We go to the cemetery 3 times a day. We don’t say we go to the graveyard, we say we go to Sebi. I learned about the accident from my husband, who called me that he was called by a lady from the funeral home in Mangalia, who told him that Sebi had died in a road accident. The first time I didn’t believe it. I tried to get in touch with Sebi and his friends. I had talked to him the night before, he told me that he was going to a friend’s birthday, Vlad. I had started learning English for him. Without him we didn’t have holidays as usual. My daughter is sad all the time. She doesn’t sleep in her room anymore, she sleeps with me. My husband is always at the cemetery. After the accident, various events were organized in Sebi’s memory. We want to do justice for Sebi. And to avoid that other families go through what we went through”.

Sebi’s father also spoke about the tragedy that changed his family’s life and how he learned of his son’s death from a funeral home employee.

“The accident destroyed us! Sebi was everything to us! Since the day of the accident, we are no longer what we were. We are finished people. The whole family is affected. We were very close to the children. I found out about the accident while I was at work, I was on my lunch break. A lady from the funeral home called me and told me that my boy died in a car accident. I hung up, I thought it was a joke. I called my wife. I called the lady. She was surprised that I hadn’t heard from the police since the accident. He told me that my boy’s body was torn in two. I was asked for 500 lei because they picked him up from the road and took him to the morgue. After the accident, we went to Mangalia to raise our child. We arrived at the morgue where we were told that the coffin would be sealed. The body was put in pieces in the coffin. Like a puzzle. The head was the only whole part. All day we are at the cemetery, at Sebi. Our life has changed completely. Everything we see reminds us of our boy. Sebi was fond of photography and filming. He wanted to become a director. He had a video camera with him. At the moment of impact it was activated and everything was recorded with sound. You can hear everything, children’s screams, ambulances, witnesses. Even to this day, the respective road, where the accident took place, is not being rehabilitated”, declared Valentin Olariu.

The session at the Mangalia Court started at 10:00. In this case, Vlad Pascu is being tried for the accident in the summer of last year, as a result of which two young people lost their lives.

At the previous term, the court postponed the case after a request submitted by the lawyers of the victims’ families. Also, at that time, judge Ioana Ancuța Popoviciu also formulated a request to abstain, which was rejected by the Mangalia Court.
