Police officers from the A1 Râmnicu Vâlcea – Deva Highway Police Bureau intervene in an accident on the A1, km. 259 (Cristian), on the direction Sibiu – Sebeș.
From the first investigations carried out, it emerged that, while driving a car on lane 2, a 56-year-old man from Alba county lost control of the direction of travel, collided with a trailer driving on the lane 1 by a 50-year-old man from Cluj county, after which he was projected into the marginal parapet, the IPJ Sibiu representatives convey.
The driver of the car and the two passengers, an 81-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman, were transported to the hospital for medical treatment, the police say.
Traffic is difficult in the area, on lane 2.
The Sibiu firefighters also intervened on the scene: two SMURD crews are mobilized, one of which is with a doctor, an extrication vehicle, a fire extinguisher and a personal transport vehicle and multiple victims, and an SAJ crew with a doctor.
“The extrication crew acted to extract a person from a car. This was handed over to medical crews. Three people, two men aged 56 and 81 respectively and a woman aged 75 received medical attention on the spot. SMURD crews took over the two men who suffered various injuries. They were transported to UPU Sibiu, conscious”, reports ISU Sibiu.
For their part, the representatives of the Sibiu Ambulance Service say that they intervened with a type C crew.
“The SAJ ambulance transported a victim, a 75-year-old woman, to UPU Sibiu, suffering from multiple traumas. Two other victims were transported to the UPU Sibiu by the ISU crews”, the institution states.
