Young people died in the accident! Emergencies, people injured and property damage

During the May 1 mini-holiday and the Easter holidays, the firefighters from Argeş participated in more than 350 missions.
They dealt with the management of emergency situations and the safety of citizens during the events organized in the county.

From the total number of missions, SMURD crews intervened in 210 situations to provide emergency medical assistance.
For the prevention of fires and the operative assurance of the intervention on the night of Resurrection, the rescuers and prevention inspectors carried out checks and activities to ensure specific measures, thus avoiding possible unwanted incidents.
“During the period under review, fire crews intervened in the case of nine fires within our county.
The most significant damages were recorded in the town of Băiculesti, in the case of two fires.
One of these occurred in a household. Three annexes burned.
And the second occurred at a shop, where flames affected a cupboard and a window.
At the same time, our colleagues were asked to intervene in 22 road incidents in which 37 vehicles were involved.
Firefighters ensured specific fire prevention and extrication measures.
And the SMURD crews and those of the Argeș County Ambulance Service provided medical assistance.
As a result of the accidents, 30 victims were identified.
And 16 of these needed transport to the hospital.
Unfortunately, nothing could be done for two victims of an incident in the town of Căldăraru, as they were declared dead.”states ISU Argeș.
