Lucia Moraru, the golden voice of the radio, has died

Lucia Moraru, the voice that accompanied good music on public radio for several generations, has died. For four decades he promoted Romanian music on the air.

Since the passing away of her husband, she has made colossal efforts to keep alive the name of the great actor Marin Moraru (2016). They had a marriage that spanned half a century.

Lucia Popescu Moraru always proved to be one of the gentle and decent people, with an impeccable image, who avoided expressing her personal opinions about people and society. One thing did not give him peace, the disinterest and non-involvement of many. After the death of Marin Moraru, he felt the only person who fought so that the brilliant actor’s name would not be forgotten and that the actor’s bust would reach the Bucharest National.

“I sold the car to make a bust, as a great artist like Marin Muraru deserves. I wanted him to find a place at the National Theater in Bucharest, because he performed most of his plays there. He also played at the Comedy Theatre, at “Lucia Sturza Bulandra” but mostly at TNB. I remember that “Take, Ianke and Cadîr” (Marin Moraru, Gheorghe Dinića and Radu Beligan-no) was one of the successes that saved the institution. He played for 10 years. I reached the Ministry of Culture with a complaint, he promised me that it would be resolved”told us bitterly about the personal sacrifice made by the former great public radio journalist.
