The beloved popular music performer Claudia Ghițulescu spoke openly about the traumatic experience that led to her losing her life. She was only 17 years old when she and her brother were in a friend’s car, and another car plowed into them. Following a road accident, the artist’s face was disfigured and the entire left side of her body was affected.

“My face was destroyed, my left hand, my left leg, my ribs… the whole left side. They took me to the hospital, they operated on me, I was in a coma for two days. I was waking up and drowning in blood, I was hit in the face so bad. I couldn’t breathe anymore, I woke up drowning in blood. I saw lights, then I was no longer aware of myself. I wanted to wake up and I couldn’t, I felt a pressure, a helplessness, I wanted to open my eyes and I couldn’t,” said Claudia Ghițulescu, on the “Povești de film, cu Mara Bănică” podcast.
