Today will be the first semi-final of Eurovision 2024; Natalia Barbu will be the 11th on stage with the song “In the Middle”
The first Eurovision 2024 semifinal, in which the representative of the Republic of Moldova, Natalia Barbu, will perform with the song “In the Middle”, will take place tonight, in Malmö, Sweden.
The song “In the Middle” will sound for the eleventh time on the stage in Malmö.
Along with the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Cyprus, Poland, Serbia, Lithuania, Croatia, Ireland, Slovenia, Iceland, Finland, Portugal, Luxembourg, Australia and Azerbaijan will compete in the first semi-final, Teleradio-Moldova states in a press release.
The representatives from Austria, Malta, Switzerland, Greece, the Czech Republic, Albania, Denmark, Armenia, Israel, Estonia, Georgia, the Netherlands, Norway, Latvia, San Marino and Belgium will perform in the second semi-final, on May 9.
Romania is not participating in the competition this year.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 final will take place on May 11.
Last year, the Republic of Moldova was represented by Pasha Parfeni, who ranked 18th, with the song “Sun and Moon”. Moldova’s best result at Eurovision was in 2017, when the band SunStroke Project won 3rd place with the song “Hey Mamma”.
