Around 5:30 p.m., on DN 6, in the town of Sadova Veche, a road accident occurred resulting in the death of one person and the injury of two others. Firefighters from the Caransebeș Detachment intervened with a special fire truck with extrication mode, an extrication, an SMURD ambulance, two ambulances of the Caraș-Severin County Ambulance Service and crews of the Caraș-Severin County Police Inspectorate.

There were 2 adults (a man and a woman) and 1 child in the car. As a result of the impact, the man remained imprisoned, and the woman and the girl managed to escape.

The remaining incarcerated man, aged 52, was extracted by the extrication crew, unconscious, without vital signs, for which resuscitation maneuvers were immediately started by the SMURD crew. The woman and the girl were taken for medical evaluation by SAJ ambulances and transported to the hospital for further investigation.

Unfortunately, despite all the efforts made, the man’s vital signs did not return, the SAJ crew declaring his death.

The driver was tested with the breathalyzer, the result was 0.

The police are continuing the investigations in this case in order to accurately establish all the circumstances and circumstances in which the event occurred.

“Driving fatigue is one of the common causes of road accidents. precisely for this reason, in order to prevent such situations, we recommend that at the first signs of fatigue, you stop driving, park the vehicle in a safe place and rest until you fully recover the psycho-physical abilities necessary to drive safely” stated Alina Boeru – spokesperson of IPJ Caraș-Severin.

CAREFUL!

– Before leaving for the road, rest for at least eight hours!

– Take a break every two hours of driving or every 160 kilometers!

– Travel with a partner who will notice if you show signs of fatigue or, if necessary, take over the driver’s seat!
