Sepsi OSK categorically won away, score 4-1, with Farul Constanţa, in the eighth stage of the play-off. Slovakian striker Pavol Safranko scored three goals.

The guests opened the scoring in the 2nd minute at Ovidiu, after Marius Ştefănescu opened Pavol Safranko perfectly and he scored past Buzbuchi.

Safranko scored again in the 23rd minute, taking advantage of a mistake by Dragoş Nedelcu. Safranko also established the score of the first half in the 34th minute. Until the end of the first half, the referee Cojocaru interrupted the match for almost three minutes, for xenophobic chants from the Farului gallery. On the pitch, the home team’s reply was almost non-existent, only Louis Munteanu sending it into the bar, in the 60th minute. Marius Ştefănescu also hit the bar, a minute later, so that in the 69th minute Cosmin Matei put an incredible 4-0 on the scoreboard .

Diogo Queiros sent a pass to his own goalkeeper, Marius Ştefănescu recovered the ball and passed to Cosmin Matei, who scored. The final result was established by Mihai Popescu, who scored the honorary goal of the hosts.

Sepsi won with a score that few people expected and is in 5th place, with 31 points. The beacon rests on the results in the fight for second place. Hagi’s students have 35 points and occupy the 4th place, two points away from the teams in the 2nd and 3rd places, who have one game less.
