UPDATE 2. A family of Ukrainians arrived at the hospital on Thursday afternoon, May 2, after a truck driver cut their way in traffic, in the town of Supur in Satu Mare county.
What the police say:
“On May 2, at around 2:20 p.m., the policemen from the Satu Mare County Police Inspectorate were alerted to a traffic incident, on National Road 19A, in the town of Supuru de Sus. Following the checks carried out, the police found out that a 39-year-old driver from Mihăieni, at the wheel of a group of vehicles, allegedly made a left turn, colliding with a car driven by a 33-year-old Ukrainian citizen year old.
The incident resulted in the injury of the 33-year-old man, as well as a 33-year-old woman and two minors aged 5 and 7, all Ukrainian citizens and passengers in the car. Both drivers were tested with the breathalyzer, the results were negative. In the case, the investigations are continued under the aspect of committing the crime of culpable bodily harm”.
UPDATE. Following the accident, a number of five victims were identified, including two children. The passengers of the car were transported to the hospital, while the driver of the truck refused transport to a medical facility.

“The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations SOMEȘ of Satu Mare County was requested to intervene in a road accident occurred at around 2:30 p.m., in the town of Supuru de Sus. A car and a truck were involved in the incident. Five victims were identified at the scene, two of them minors.
They were medically evaluated on the spot and the passengers of the car, two adults and two children, were transported to the Satu Mare Emergency Reception Unit by EPA Tășnad and SMURD TIM, the driver of the truck refusing transport.
Two fire crews with an intervention vehicle and a SMURD ambulance were assigned to this incident from the Tășnad Work Point, together with the Mobile Intensive Care and SMURD Sărmașag crew. A SAJ ambulance and the SMURD helicopter were requested to provide medical care in support”.

Violent accident. A car rolled on the road after a collision with a truck. Everything happened on Thursday afternoon, in Satu Mare county.
The accident occurred on the radius of the town of Supuru de Sus, when a truck rammed into a Mitsubishi car, and the car rolled several times on the road. According to PortalSM information, there was a family of Ukrainians from Odessa in the car, and two children were injured in the head as a result of the impact.
The victims of the accident were helped by several people who were in the area, and then first aid crews intervened on the scene. The SMURD helicopter was also called to help.
