Nelu Popa and Romeo Dunca submitted their candidacies today

--

Two hours apart (11, 13, respectively), in two different locations (Reșița Constituency Electoral Office, respectively County Electoral Office), the two leaders of the National Liberal Party submitted their candidacies for a new mandate.

The first was Ioan Popa, accompanied by all the candidates for the position of local councilors and two of the parliamentarians from Cărăși: senator Marcel Vela – the president of the PNL county organization and deputy Jaro Norbert Marșalic.

Ioan Popa: “If the elections were in the fall, I would have definitely come by tram, but that’s how I came through the trenches of Reșița; it is a sign that they are working and very soon they will be finished. I am happy for everything I managed to do with my team in the town hall. We are a very well-knit nucleus in the 7 years that have passed so far, and I think we can continue together”.

Regarding the colleagues who left PNL for PSD, current mayor of Reșița, Ioan Popa added: “Because we are in Holy Week, I and I am convinced that my colleagues too, we forgive them and move forward purified”.

For his part, the leader of the liberals from Caraș Marcel Vela stated: “I think that also in Reșița, where it is best seen, but also in other localities of the county, our program Dezvoltam Romania is applied in an extraordinarily beautiful and important way, and Nelu Popa and his team are among the best performing teams at the national level. What was sown in the first mandate is now showing its fruits in the second, and in the third we will be able to fully enjoy everything that is happening beautifully in Reșita”.

If all the local PNL councilors were present at the submission of the current mayor’s candidacy, at the BEJ the current president of the Caraș-Severin County Council Romeo Dunca came accompanied only by Marcel Vela and Nelu Popa and a larger suite of journalists than the future county councillors.

Upon exiting the County Electoral Office, Romeo Duncan stated among other things: “We hope that the population will see our effort, see what we have done, see the long agony of transforming this county for the better, and we continue to build regardless of the obstacles. I have stubbornly remained consistent in the direction that I promised and that I took in 2020. The fact that today a lot of voices are rising against it means that we are really doing our job and the real change will take place”.

After submitting the candidacy files, both Ioan Popa and Romeo Dunca took a photo session together with the future councilors and supporters who witnessed these actions of the liberals from Caraş.
