Metrorex has announced the subway schedule for May Day and Easter. The company also provided details about the candles that people bring from the church. What is completely forbidden to do on the night of Resurrection?
Metrorex program for May 1st and Resurrection 2024
According to the Metrorex announcement, between May 1-6, the metro will operate on all lines, following the traffic schedule established for weekends and public holidays.
On Easter evening, between May 4 and 5, the metro will have a special schedule: trains will run between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., with a frequency of approximately 10 minutes, and between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. , will run at an interval of approximately 20 minutes.
The company said that if there is an increase in the number of passengers, it will introduce additional trains into circulation.
It is forbidden with lighted candles in the subway
Metrorex said that access to the subway with open flames, such as lit candles or candles, is strictly prohibited to prevent any untoward incidents.
“We note that access to the subway with open fire (lighted candles, lighted candles, etc.) is strictly prohibited in order to avoid any unwanted events”, reports Metrorex.
STB program for May 1 and Resurrection 2024
From Wednesday to Sunday inclusive, STB announced that public transport vehicles on the surface will run according to the schedule specific to Sundays.
Also, on Easter Night, from 4 to 5 May 2024, public transport will be provided by buses operating on the night lines and on line 100, respecting the normal operating schedule.

DSP Bucharest informs that during the period 1-6 May 2024, on the occasion of legal holidays such as Labor Day, Thursday of Passion Week, Good Friday and Holy Easter, emergency medical assistance will be provided by nine hospitals intended for adults and children, as well as by the Service by Ambulance Bucharest-Ilfov.
