The women’s 8+1 crew consisting of Magdalena Rusu, Roxana Anghel, Adriana Adam, Maria Lehaci, Mădălina Bereş, Amalia Bereş, Ioana Vrînceanu, Simona Radiş and Victoria-Ştefania Petreanu won the gold medal at the European Rowing Championships in Szeged on Sunday , reports News.ro.
The tricolors were clocked with a time of 06:32.00. Great Britain finished in second place (06:35.16), and Italy ranked third (06:37.41).
Romania also won seven medals in Szeged – three gold, two silver and two bronze.
