“Following the decision of the European Union in December 2023 to open accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova, the cultural events that we carry out jointly take on increased significance, marking new milestones in the European journey of the neighboring country. We are trying to prove, once again, the binding role of culture and to anticipate the “re-unification” between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, in the European Union. I welcome these moments of high artistic and academic standing and the effervescent involvement of Moldovan friends in the actions of the EUNIC cluster from Chisinau”, said Liviu Jicman.

Friday’s recital, preceded by the press conference, is part of the series of events organized in European cities by the Romanian Cultural Institute, the Ministry of Culture and ARTEXIM for the international promotion of the 19th edition of the George Enescu International Competition.
