Titi Aur, specialist in defensive driving, was invited to the DC Conducem show, on DC News, where he talked about the “habit” of some policemen to turn on the traffic lights to avoid waiting at the traffic lights, along with other traffic participants.

“Traffic frustration occurs when you’re stuck in traffic and the special police vehicles turn on the traffic light to pass through the intersection, then turn off the traffic light,” said Titi Aur.

“During communism, when you saw a police car with a beacon, it was like this: Ah, he put beer in this place. That was the joke”, said Titi Aur.

“There are many very polite police officers, but there are also uneducated ones. The uneducated policeman doesn’t wear a seat belt, talks on the phone while driving, sits in the queue, and at some point, when he’s done talking on the phone, he gets bored and turns on the traffic light, then sneaks off and drives away.

It’s clear he wasn’t on a mission, it’s clear he’s a jerk. Every forest also has dry areas. This attitude should be sanctioned internally, because you, the citizen, have nothing to do to them, but on their line, internally, for such situations, there should be a punishment.

This situation, apart from the fact that it no longer makes you make room for it in other cases, greatly damages the image and trust of the institution. When the car says “Safety and Trust” and the cop does that, it’s not normal. We have all experienced something like this. The institution should take action. We could file complaints and hope they clean up the yard themselves.

Otherwise, we citizens can only feel that frustration that the policeman has a siren and benefits from freedom”, said Titi Aur.
