Vice Mayor Antonia Nica congratulated today, April 3, the 27 couples present in the large hall of the Oradea City Hall, at the “Golden Wedding” event. This is the 3rd edition of this year, being organized by the municipality as a sign of appreciation for families who have completed 50 years of uninterrupted marriage and are domiciled in Oradea.
The award ceremony took place in the presence of the seniors and their families, each pair receiving an anniversary diploma, accompanied by flowers and a cash prize of 1,000 lei.
Vice-Mayor Antonia Nica congratulated all those present, and at the end of the celebration she sang “Happy Birthday!” with the guests.
“Today you are our distinguished guests and we are honored to be with you, at the time of celebrating 50 years of marriage, half a century, which you have traveled together, with good and bad, with ups and downs, with fears and hopes.
A wise man said: Some people, no matter how old they get, never lose their beauty, they just move it from their faces to their hearts.
The past is the past, the future is unknown, and as such, we can only decorate the present as beautifully as possible. This is what we, Oradea City Hall, Mayor Florin Birta – whose good thoughts please receive through me – want to make this day a day of joy, celebration and honor! We ask, therefore, that you receive our admiration, gratitude and respect at the celebration of 50 years of marriage – the Golden Wedding”, said Deputy Mayor Antonia Nica.
The Department of Civil Status continues to receive applications from those who are celebrating 50 years of marriage, in room 12 on the ground floor, located in the City Hall building. Additional information can be obtained at the telephone number 0259/408824.
