A violent fire broke out during the night from Monday to Tuesday at a furniture factory in the city of Bocsa, the flames manifesting in several foci and covering an area of more than 2,000 square meters, the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) informed Caraş-Severin, quoted by Agerpres.

“The fire manifested itself with generalized burning, at several foci, with rapid development and propagation, in several directions, on an area of over 2,000 square meters. The flames, fueled by the large amount of combustible materials stored and by the strong wind, spread to three halls located near the outbreak, as well as to a dryer,” said the cited source.
Six fire crews, a ladder truck, two first intervention and command vehicles, one first aid, as well as the operative group of the Inspectorate were mobilized to the scene.
A fire truck and a 30,000-liter tanker from ISU Timiş also moved to support the fire crews.
The extinguishing action is made more difficult by the stored combustible materials, which favored the development, during combustion, of high temperatures and large releases of smoke.
Firefighters are still working to extinguish the fire, search for and liquidate hidden fires and remove the negative effects of the fire.
There were no casualties.
