Rajasthan Royals (RR) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by 12 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on March 28 at the Sawai Mann Singh Stadium in Jaipur. With this win, RR continued the trend of the home team winning every game out of the 10 played this season so far.
Chasing 186 to win, Delhi got starts in the form of Warner and Pant. but they were not able to convert into big starts. Tristan Stubbs at the end tried to steal the game away from the Royals, but Avesh Khan held his own to deliver yet another win for the hosts.
Earlier RR posted 185/5 in their 20 overs against This was thanks to Riyan Parag’s 47-ball unbeaten 84. Royals were at one point 36/3 in 7.3 overs before Parag and Ravichandran Ashwin added 54 for the fourth wicket. Later Parag went into fifth gear as the Royals added 77 runs in the last five overs.
DC skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. Capitals made two changes as Shai Hope was out with a back spasm and Ishant Sharma had not recovered. Anrich Nortje and Mukesh Kumar joined the Delhi playing 11. As expected, the Royals made no changes. Abhishek Porel would likely be the impact substitute in place of Mukesh in this game.
