Off the coast of the Crimean peninsula, a military plane of the Russian Air Force crashed.

A Russian military aircraft has crashed into the sea off the Crimean port of Sevastopol, the region’s Russian-installed governor said as quoted by Sky News.

The pilot ejected safely and was picked up by rescuers, Mikhail Razvozhayev said.

Civil objects were not damaged. Until now, it is not clear what was the reason behind the crash of the plane.

Earlier, Russian Telegram channels reported that a Russian Su-35 fighter jet crashed near Sevastopol.
