Samsung has been moving quite a bit in the AI direction since January, and it seems to show no signs of stopping. On the contrary, it seems that the manufacturer plans to spread artificial intelligence to as many aspects of the devices as possible, including the batteries on the next series of flagships.
According to GSMArena, the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra will ship with “Battery AI”. It will extend the life of the batteries by up to 10%, or at least that is what is wanted.
Competitors in China have generally extended battery life on rival Galaxy S models by simply fitting a roughly 10% larger battery, but that would be too simple for Samsung. So instead of an increase in battery capacity, Samsung will give us AI to compensate.
Today’s rumor also mentions that Battery AI will remove non-essential tasks to increase overall usage time without affecting the phone’s performance. So the article implies that the AI will not underclock the CPU and GPU, which is good news.
