Renowned smartphone maker Infinix today launched the successor to the GT 10 Pro, the new Infinix GT 20 Pro at a global event held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This new gaming model brings significant improvements in both performance and design.
Powerful processor and improved memory
The Infinix GT 20 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate processor, paired with 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone runs XOS 14 and benefits from Infinix’s promise of two major Android OS updates and three years of security updates.
An interesting novelty is the presence of the Pixelworks X5 Turbo dedicated gaming chip, which makes the GT 20 Pro the brand’s first dual-chip smartphone. This chip uses Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation (MEMC) technology to increase the frame rate from 60 FPS to 120 FPS, providing a smooth gaming experience and improving image quality.
Stable performance and efficient cooling
Infinix GT 20 Pro uses a frame rate stabilization engine to ensure consistent performance during gaming sessions. The company claims that the smartphone can achieve a native rate of up to 120 FPS with “ultra-stable operation” for an hour. Also, the VC liquid cooling system has been increased by 73% compared to the previous generation, and the main heat dissipation area now benefits from 66% higher thermal conductivity.
Futuristic design with customizable LEDs The GT 20 Pro also stands out for its Cyber Mecha design, with a pattern inspired by turbine blades, which focuses on Metal, Power and Speed. A standout is the Mecha Loop LED interface, which allows customization of the RGB LEDs on the rear panel with eight color combinations and four lighting effects. Lighting effects for games are compatible with three popular titles: PUBG, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) and Free Fire.
Other outstanding features
In addition to gaming capabilities, the Infinix GT 20 Pro is equipped with a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED screen with a FullHD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1,300 nits. The front camera is 32MP, while the rear camera system includes a 108MP main sensor (Samsung HM6 with OIS) and two 2MP sensors. The 5,000mAh battery supports 45W fast charging and the smartphone also offers 5G connectivity, USB-C, NFC and an in-display fingerprint reader.
Availability and prices
Infinix GT 20 Prova will be available in Mecha Orange, Mecha Silver and Mecha Blue colors, in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB configurations. Pricing and sales details for each region will be revealed during local releases.
