Razer has made a habit of coming up with a pretty good joke every April 1st, being one of the only companies that manages to at least put a smile on our faces on this day. This year, Razer’s special April 1st “release” is one of the best, because it’s a chair that turns you into a real-life version of Doctor Octopus, Spider-Man’s famous nemesis, and it’s called the Razer Cthulhu .

The chair is meant to keep you in it (forever), giving you everything you need with just the power of your mind, through artificial intelligence. Thus, you don’t have to get up if you want to eat something, the robot arms can also hold your drinks, brush your teeth or shave, and they will listen to any command you have for them (96.9%). Each tentacle has a Razer Skynapse processor inside and has been trained with an impressive 1337TB of data.

Razer has also released a teaser clip for the Razer Cthulhu, and it also includes a rather amusing FAQ section about the chair. For example, when asked “how do I control Razer Cthulhu?” the answer is simple – “You don’t! The arms operate autonomously and will teach themselves how to serve you better.” Also, for another mention saying “the chair is looking for me and I had to hide in another room”, Razer’s response is “Thanks for telling us! We will add your hide and seek among the product features!”.

That’s one of the more obvious April Fools’ jokes made by the folks at Razer, who have made it a true tradition over the years by introducing “products” like the mouse that doubles as a phone, the SnakeEyes HUD glasses, and an exoskeleton glove that increased the number of actions you could do with your fingers per minute.
