PSG and Borussia will battle tonight to qualify for the 2023-2024 edition of the Champions League grand final. Both teams have played with the trophy on the table before, the difference being that the group from Dormund won the cup in 1997. The two teams have recently met in European cups, with PSG and Dormund being part of the same group in this edition of the Champions League (alongside AC Milan and Newcastle).

PSG and Borussia have also reached the Champions League final. The French only once (conceded, score 0-1, the match with Bayern Munich in Lisbon in 2020), while Dortmund has two finals: one won (3-1 with Juventus in Munich in 1997) and one lost (1 -2 with Bayern, at Wembley, in 2013).

If PSG is virtually the champion of France, on the other hand, Dortmund is in 5th place in the Bundesliga, but is sure of its presence in the next edition of the Champions League.

PSG passed Real Sociedad in the round of 16 (2-0 in Paris and 2-1 in San Sebastian), and FC Barcelona in the quarters (2-3 in Paris and 4-1 in Barcelona).

Dortmund eliminated PSV in the round of 16 (1-1 away and 2-0 at home) and Atletico Madrid in the quarters (1-2 at the Metropolitano and 4-2 at home).
