On May 3, in the Farul Constanța – Sepsi OSK 1-4 dispute, Pavol Safranko scored a lightning hat-trick, with which he managed to attract the attention of clubs with claims from the Romanian Super League.
The Slovakian striker from Sepsi opened the scoring after only two minutes at the seaside, after which he scored in the 22nd and 33rd minutes, managing to set the halftime score, 3-0 for Covasneni.
Pavol Safranko was also wanted by FCSB in 2022, before returning to Sepsi, and after the hat-trick scored in the goal of Farului, it was written that not only the red-blues have him on the list, but also those from CFR Cluj. In addition, it was circulated about the group coached by Dan Petrescu that it would be preferred in the options that the attacker would have at this moment.
Despite the mentioned, coach Ionuț Badea does not believe in the chances of a transfer of the Slovak to the two candidates in the fight for the title. The former technician from FC Argeș, Astra and UTA Arad also offered some solid arguments:
“I don’t think so! It is not a joke? We have been saying since the beginning of the championship that Sepsi does not have a goal man and Safranko needs 4-5 chances to score a goal… He is an admirable player, he gives himself a lot, he presses, he helps the defense fantastically, but I don’t he seems to be a player not even on Sepsi’s level.
Last night there were three one-on-one situations with the goalkeeper. If you don’t score anyway, when do you score? I have nothing against him, but I think something more is needed at the CFR”, declared Ionuț Badea, la Digi Sports.
If we exclude the hat-trick scored in the goal of the Lighthouse, Pavol Safranko scored 5 goals and provided two decisive assists, in 43 matches played in the current season.

Pavol Safranko also spoke about the interest of the two big Superliga clubs and hinted that he would prefer a transfer to CFR Clujwhere Dan Petrescu recently returned:

The engagement ends on June 30th, and in a week or two I would like to make the final decision. I am open to all options.
Charalambous won a title, Petrescu won four in a row, if I’m not mistaken. I respect them both. They are coaches who have shown that they can bring success. Petrescu was also a fantastic player.
