Now, the distance from the 2nd place, which is now the University of Craiova, has increased. There are 7 points between the two. The biggest difference recorded between the top two teams since the play-off and play-out system was established.
FCSB currently has 38 points, while Universitatea Craiova has 31, the two being the only ones with maximum points in the play-off. On 3rd is Rapid, with 28 points, tied with CFR Cluj.
And the difference may increase in the next stage, when FCSB will meet Craiova University.

Until this edition, the biggest difference between 1st place and 2nd place was 5 points. In the 2021-2022 season, CFR Cluj had 42 points after two play-off stages, while FCSB had 37.
Cluj then finished the play-off with a point lead. They took the championship one stage earlier, when FCSB drew with FC Voluntari (2-2). And in the last round, in the direct match, CFR did not give importance to the game.
