Donald Trump presented his lines for a possible second term in a consistent article published by Time on Tuesday, including ensuring freedom of action for states that prohibit abortion, deploying the military to deport immigrants, conditioning military support for US allies , reports AFP, quoted by Agerpres.

The former Republican president, candidate in the November elections against Joe Biden, was interviewed twice, once in person and the second time by phone about what he will do in case of victory in November.

Donald Trump has indicated that he will leave it open to states if they decide to prosecute women who have abortions past the deadline. “It’s not up to me whether I’m comfortable or not” with that prospect, Trump said. “The states will make that decision,” he explained.

Regarding immigration, another central topic of the election, the Republican repeated that he will resort to mass deportations. “The National Guard should be able to handle this. If not, I will use the military,” meaning federal troops, he told Time.

On the economy, he said he was considering tariffs of “over 10%” on all imports.

Regarding aid for Ukraine, Donald Trump declared that “I will try to help Ukraine, but Europe must do its job. They are not doing their job. Europe is not paying their fair share. I said that I will not give unless Europe starts to reach the same level (of aid to Ukraine – ed.). Europe must pay. It is very unfair to us. And I said that if Europe will not pay, which is much more affected than us, why should we pay?”.

In addition, the former president believes that if South Korea wants the thousands of American soldiers on its territory to remain, it will have to pay more: “Why should we defend anyone? And we are talking about a very rich country”.

“I think that the enemy from within is, in many cases, much more dangerous for our country than the external enemies – China, Russia and others,” said Donald Trump.

He also says he is “absolutely” ready to pardon anyone convicted of storming the Capitol on January 6, 2021, in an attempt to prevent Congress from certifying the victory of his opponent Joe Biden.
