According to recent reports, it appears that Samsung has made the decision to delay the introduction of new stacked battery technology and 65W fast charging for its upcoming flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra. This move comes as a bit of a surprise, given that these improvements were previously rumored to be available on the 2025 model.

Industry sources suggest that the main reason behind this decision is the company’s desire to reduce production costs. In the current economic climate, Samsung seems to be cautious about investing in new technologies, preferring to keep prices affordable for consumers.

Possible release of new technologies on the Galaxy S26 Ultra

While disappointing for tech enthusiasts who were looking forward to these improvements, it looks like Samsung hasn’t completely given up on its plans. According to information provided by Sawyer Galox, a well-known industry insider, the company could introduce the stacked battery and 65W fast charging with the launch of the Galaxy S26 Ultra model in 2026.

Despite the delay of these improvements, the Galaxy S Ultra series continues to offer outstanding battery life. Even though the 45W charging speed may seem modest compared to the competition, especially Chinese smartphone manufacturers, users have been pleased with the battery life on the last generations of Ultra flagships.

With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor expected to be more expensive than its predecessor, it’s understandable why Samsung decided to delay certain improvements to keep prices under control. It remains to be seen if this strategy will be beneficial in the long run or if the company will lose ground to the increasingly fierce competition in the smartphone industry.
