“Teambuilding” can be watched on Netflix. It is the most profitable Romanian film of all time VIDEO

The comedy “Teambuilding”, which reached first place in the Romanian box-office six weeks after its release, can now also be watched on Netflix. The film, released at the end of September 2022, is a satire of corporate life, with funny incidents from a treebuilding where corporatists go wild, finally showing their human side. Filming took place in Bucharest and in the mountains, between July and September 2021.

“Teambuilding” became the highest-grossing Romanian film of all time: in 13 weeks of running, it had over 980,000 viewers and over 4.6 million euros in revenue. The investment was approximately 800,000 euros, as stated by Matei Dima (Bromania), in an interview for Adevărul.

“The investment in “Teambuilding” was almost 800,000 euros, quite a lot for a Romanian film. The fact that it was so successful makes us happy and reassures us, if it didn’t work… we risked ending up on the streets. Moral? Don’t take chances unless you really believe in something.” said Matei Dima..

Success is measured by what you set out to do. We set out to do this and it exceeded expectations. Beyond the money, it’s about the hundreds of thousands of people who went to see the film. It’s about the fact that they laughed, that they felt good. «Teambuilding» is a film with everything: with easy jokes, with situational humor, with dark humor in places, as I think a comedy should be. I think it has everything and because of this it worked and was successful”, he completed.

The cast of the film includes Matei Dima, Micutzu, Anca Dinicu, Nicu Banea, Șerban Pavlu, Roxana Condurache, Cristi Pulhac, Monica Odagi and Nuami Dinescu.

“Teambuilding” is produced by Vidra Productions, which has also made successful productions such as “Miami Bici”, “5GANG: A Different Christmas” and “Camp”, films that set records at the box office in the year of release.

“Teambuilding is the funniest script I’ve worked on, with the most comedy actors since the Revolution. It is an atypical film for Romania, if we consider that it had three directors at the helm from different creative backgrounds: me (online), Alex Coteț (advertising) and Micutzu (stand-up). I think that makes it a complete comedy for all kinds of audiences.”says Matei Dima, director and main actor.
