The day after Easter, in Novaci, the housewives’ party was organized, attended by dozens of people.
Among them was the young woman who came precisely from India to spend Easter in Gorjenese lands.
The woman from New Delhi was delighted with our traditions which she said were quite similar to those of India.

Newcomers and their guests from all over the country, eager for peace and relaxation, participated in the PARTY OF HOUSEHOLDERS. Scattered at the tables in the Gheorghe Tătărescu Park and the surrounding space, at a picnic, over a bowl of stew, with muffins, wine and eggs, those present listened to music, had fun around the fire and socialized late into the night.
“Thank you to the Novacians who got involved with products for the picnic and who provided the musical part! We were delighted by the presence of people who came from hundreds of kilometers, from big cities, some great personalities of economic and cultural life in Romania and from other countries, who appreciated the warm, relaxing, friendly atmosphere, the beauty of the landscapes offered by Transalpina and the gastronomy local!
We were happy to find that many of those present were the children of Novacians, off to study or with jobs in the big urban agglomerations! To our happiness, the roots bring them home”, it is stated on the page of the Novaci City Hall.
