In November of last year, the Town Hall of the Apahida commune announced the start of the modernization works of the Central Park in Apahida. At that time, the works were scheduled to be completed in May 2024. I spoke with the mayor Grigore Fati about the characteristics of the project and about its completion date.

Rep: Does the announced date for the completion of the park modernization works remain?

Grigore Fati: Yes. As we announced in the fall, our plan is to celebrate Children’s Day on June 1 in the new park in Apahida. The companies hired for this work are in the work schedule, have completed the part of the underground interventions for the networks and are currently working on the access ways and preparing the installation of the future gaming complexes, banks and other public facilities.

Rep: What types of work does this modernization entail?

Grigore Fati: The project provides for the development of green spaces, the construction of new access roads, the provision of playground equipment for different age groups, fitness equipment, fencing works, electrical and water-sewage installation works. The entire surface will have new public lighting and will be supervised by a high-performance video camera system.

Rep: I know that you proposed the modernization of other green spaces as well. How is the work going on the other projects?

Grigore Fati: At the entrance to Câmpenești, we modernized the playground in front of the “Voinicel” Nursery. In Apahida we are also modernizing the playground next to the church, in Sânnicoara we are building a synthetic football field with a night club and a playground, in Dezmir we will finish the modernization of the playground next to the school next week, and in Corpadea and Pata we are preparing the purchase and installation of new playgrounds for children.

The modernization works of the Central Park in Apahida are executed by the association formed by RO-VERDE LANDSCAPING SRL and SPORT PLAY SYSTEMS SRL and have a value of 2,444,578.12 lei.
