A 42-year-old man from Alba Iulia was detained for 24 hours by the police, after he was caught driving a car while under the influence of alcoholic beverages. After testing with the breathalyzer, a value of 1.12mg/l of alcohol in the exhaled air was found.

According to IPJ Alba, on May 6, 2024, around 6:40 p.m., the traffic police from Alba Iulia detected a 42-year-old man from Alba Iulia, while he was driving a car, on Tulnicului Street in Alba Iulia, being under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

Following the testing of the driver, with the breathalyzer, the value of 1.12 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air resulted, which is why he was taken to the hospital where blood samples were collected, in order to determine the blood alcohol level.

In relation to the driver, the police took the measure of detention, for 24 hours, following that during today, May 7, he will be presented to the Public Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Alba Iulia Court, for the disposition of legal measures.
