The administration and the unions within the Oltenia Energy Complex still have some important chapters to establish regarding the incomes of miners and energy workers.
Through the Collective Labor Agreement, wage indexation was established with 1,200 gross lei per employee. Also, all increments were included in the base salary. It is a first in the history of the company. The elimination of wage classes is also a first. This could generate wage imbalances. This is why a wage harmonization fund will be needed.
Through it, an attempt will be made to eliminate wage imbalances between employees with the same job and similar seniority. The unions and the administration of the Oltenia Energy Complex will meet during a meeting of the Joint Commission after the Easter holidays.
They meet on Tuesday
The discussions will take place on May 7 from 11:00 a.m., at the headquarters of the Mining Branch in Târgu Jiu. The agenda aims to identify and approve the criteria for awarding the promotion/salary harmonization fund, corresponding to a gross average value of 200 lei per employee.
The promotion fund was provided in the Collective Labor Agreement within the limit of an amount of 200 gross lei for each employee. Until now, the more than 9,000 miners and energy workers at the CEO level have their rights guaranteed in the coming years, i.e. until May 2026. What is certain, however, is that, according to the Restructuring and Decarbonization Plan, at the CEO all the energy groups and the mining quarries should go into reserve and only 4,500 employees remain, that is, half of what they are at the moment.
