Moreover, the county located in the west of Romania attracts a significant and growing interest from investors, representing 5% of the total transactions with agricultural land at the national level in 2023.

“Timiş County, with a significant agricultural potential in terms of favorable climatic conditions and fertile soils, attracts the interest of investors due to the area’s development opportunities. In 2023, agricultural land transactions in Timiş County represented 5% of the total per country.

Moreover, in the first two months of this year, approximately 850 transactions were concluded, marking an increase of 31% compared to the same period of the previous year”, said Mădălin Aresmeriţoaie, Senior Consultant Industrial & Logistic Services, CBRE Romania, according to Agerpres.

At the same time, Timiș is in first place at the national level in terms of arable land, with a figure of 530,808 hectares. This constitutes a solid pillar for the growth and diversification of agricultural activities in the region. A recent analysis shows that Timiș stands out with a lot of 1,500 hectares, located approximately 10 km away from Recaş and 35 km north of Timisoara. Being at a distance of approximately 50 kilometers from the borders with Hungary and Serbia, the land is strategically located to facilitate access to international markets.

Added to these things is the fact that in Timiș the rainfall is quite rich. In addition, the system of drainage channels contributes significantly to the efficient management of surplus water, ensuring optimal conditions for obtaining a high agricultural yield.
