THE BEST… After winning the title in League 4, Comstar Vaslui also won the county phase of the Romanian Cup. In the final of the competition, held at the Banca stadium, Vasluiul defeated FC Vulturești 6-1 (4-0).
Comstar Vaslui got his hands on another trophy. The team patronized by Gabi Hăulică also won the Romanian Cup – county phase, after clearly defeating FC Vulturești, 6-1 (4-0). The goals of the team coached by Costinel Botez and Cătălin Grigore were scored by Andrei Covăcel (min. 19 and 40), Ciprian Petruț (13), Mircea Horciu (35), Darius Crăciun (54) and Spyro Tăbăcaru (79), while the honor goal of the guests was achieved by Ionuț Jugănaru (84). They had the most difficult match in the semifinals played on May 4, in Negrești, when Comstar needed extra time to overcome CSM Hușana Huși (2-1), after the goals scored by Horciu and Popa. In the other semi-final, FC Vulturești overcame Viitorul Rebricea, score 2-0 (0-0), after the Rebricans missed a penalty at 0-0, through Costin. Apostu and Postolache scored for Vulturești. At the end, the president of AJF Vaslui, Bogdan Gheorghiță, also offered two individual awards, Fabian Popa receiving the trophy for the best player of the final, and Spyro Tăbăcaru was named the player of the tournament, both from Comstar. In July, Comstarul will represent the county in the regional phase of the Romanian Cup, where it will compete with the other winners from the Moldavian area.
