Events organized on the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the establishment of the “Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum. They will take place between May 10 and 17.

The opening ceremony will take place on May 10, at the Dumitra Stage, starting at 11:00 a.m. and will be followed from 1:30 p.m., at Sala Gheorghe Focșa, by the opening of the exhibition “The popular holiday port“. Over 150 pieces of clothing from the museum’s collections will be exhibited in this exhibition.

From 16:00, in the Hall of Glass, participants will learn more about the culture, traditions and customs of Peru in the exhibition “The traveling bull of Pucara-the ambassador of the Peruvian mountains“, made together with the Embassy of Peru in Bucharest.

On the 11th and 12th of May, in the special program prepared for visitors, the organizers announce that they will enjoy music and dance performances, book launches, sessions, workshops made together with the Piery Association from Urziceni, Urziceni City Hall, the Center Cultural Urziceni, Hârșova City Hall and Hârșova House of Culture.

On May 17, from 2:00 p.m., at the Village Museum, the famous artists of “Ensemble țara Vrancea“, from Focșani, coordinator Maria Murgoci.

Moreover, throughout the period 10-17 May, Bucharest residents and tourists are expected at the fair in the courtyard of the museum, in the alleys of which folk craftsmen from all over the country will be present, with traditional products and artisanal creations.
