New information has emerged in the case of the man kidnapped from the parking lot of a residential complex in Bucharest. The perpetrators would have slipped into the underground car park when another car was leaving. The police saw the images from the surveillance cameras in the area.
According to the latest information from the investigation, the perpetrators took advantage of the moment when another car was leaving the underground parking lot to sneak in there. Only cars with registration numbers registered to that complex can gain access.
The suspects took the man and forced him into the van, where they handcuffed him. After six kilometers they released him.
To lose track, they went to Pipera Road where they abandoned the car. Investigators have collected footage from surveillance cameras in the area and are analyzing it.
The police of the 2nd section of Bucharest were alerted on Thursday by a security guard of a housing complex in Sector 1, that a man was forced into a van.
Police officers went to the scene and started the checks. A short time later, the kidnapped man was found on a street in Sector 1. A first aid crew gave him medical care and took him to the Elias Hospital.
The van was found near where the victim was found.
Police and prosecutors are now investigating for unlawful deprivation of liberty. The perpetrators are wanted.
