Following the evaluation of the sports projects, submitted for the award of non-refundable financing contracts from public funds allocated for non-profit activities of general interest for the year 2024, a number of thirteen projects met the qualification criteria, as requested in the Applicant’s Guide regarding the financing regime non-refundable from the Constanţa county budget fund.
“This year, over five million lei will go to several associations and sports clubs in Constanţa county, based on law no. 350/2005. Today we signed the financing contracts for a number of thirteen projects submitted by non-governmental organizations in the county, thus supporting them in their efforts to cultivate performance and provide equal opportunities for all residents of the county. We tried to cover as diverse an area of sports activities as possible, taking into account, of course, the originality and relevance of these projects within the community. Football, rugby, sheep, handball, martial arts, cycling are just some of the disciplines that will benefit from funding this year. It’s certainly a bit much. All sports clubs and associations in this county, which promote physical activity and performance, regardless of the sports discipline, deserve to be supported and encouraged to fulfill their mission and provide opportunities for participation and development for all those interested. I hope that by financing these projects, sport in Constanța county will become more accessible for the residents, and young talents will be encouraged to follow their passion and develop their potential,” said Mihai Lupu, president of the Constanța County Council.
Below, you can find the list of selected projects, together with the score obtained by each association, the total value of the projects and the amount of funding granted by the Constanța County Council as the Financing Authority:
1. Bikerehab Constanța Cycling Club Association (85 points) – “Aero Velo Mania 2024” project totaling 105,610 lei, of which 88,712.40 lei are financed from the county budget;
2. Club Sportiv 4V Motorsport Association (80 points) – “4V Rally Raid Constanța — Romania” project in the total amount of 997,999.89 lei, of which the value financed from the county budget is 896,702.89 lei;
3. Tomitanii Sports Club Association (79.20 points) – project “Rugby, my favorite sport” in total value of 759,461 lei, of which the value financed from the county budget is 644,599 lei;
4. Constanța County Football Association (77 points) – “Football, bridge to the community, third edition” project in a total amount of 1,319,620 lei, of which the amount financed from the county budget amounts to 1,185,000 lei;
5. Pantheon Constanța Sports Club Association (76.80 points) – project “Judo-Sport and Education – 2nd edition” totaling 666,540 lei, of which 598,500 lei was financed from the county budget;
6. “Dinamic Club” Karate Sports Club Association (76.60 points) – project “Champions and future Dobrogean champions” totaling 339,884 lei, of which 304,884 lei are financed from the county budget;
7. Thetis Sportive Club Association (73 points) – project “Southeast Regional Championship at SkiJet” totaling 298,000 lei, of which 253,002 lei was financed from the county budget;
8. Handball Club Omer Sports Club Association (72.40 points) – “Handball for Constanta” project in a total amount of 285,600 lei, of which the amount financed from the county budget is 255,600 lei;
9. Happy Kids 2010 Medgidia Sports Club (68.20 points) – “Handball, a lifestyle in Constanța county” project in a total value of 200,270 lei, of which 170,270 lei was financed from the county budget;
10. “Marina Constanța” Sports Club Association (66.20 points) – project “Future in motion: Ju Jitsu and Taekwondo WT for the Community” in total value of 224,140 lei, of which value financed from the county budget 199,140 lei;
11. Salamandra Constanța Sports Club (65 points) – “Education and development through sport” project in the total amount of 176,915 lei, of which 158,115 lei was financed from the county budget;
12. Association “Clubul Sportiv Arena Constanța” (65 points) – project “Champions together” in total value of 79,500 lei, of which value financed from the county budget 69,500 lei;
13. The Romanian Federation of Oină (63.80 points) – “Caravana Redescoperă Oina” project in a total amount of 275,000 lei, of which the amount financed from the county budget is 250,000 lei.
