The local authorities in Prahova believe that a possible cause of the collapse of the Slănic street could be the infiltration of water into the salt soil in the locality. Meanwhile, the crater began to enlarge. A tree has slid into the water-filled pit, another fir tree is about to fall, as well as an electricity pole that has been disconnected from the electricity grid.

Vergiliu Nanu, director of the County Cadastre Office and PSD candidate for the headship of the Prahova County Council blames the gas works done this winter.
