The footballers from FC Bihor achieved another goal on Saturday! The red-blues prevailed in the Timişoara derby with Politehnica and, with four stages before the end, they know that they cannot lose first place in the 8th Series of the III League, going to the promotion barrage from the first position.

Played in a beautiful derby atmosphere, the game at Stadionul Electrica ended with a score of 1-0 for FC Bihor, who dominated the first half and who scored through Florin Chitaş in the 35th minute.

Determined to break the ice and beat the Politehnica team from Timisoara for the first time this season, the players trained by Florin Farcaş started with an advanced pressing and kept the home team in their own third.

In the 35th minute, Florin Chitaş received a ball 22 meters from the goal, advanced to the right, after passing two opponents and shot from the edge of the box, on the ground, diagonally, beating the goalkeeper Murariu.

After conceding the goal, the people of Timisoara tried to respond, and until the break, in the extra minute of the first half, they had a good opportunity. Returned from the edge, the ball reached the Oradea box, from where, from six meters, Daniel Olariu sent it into the crossbar.

In the second half, the Timișoara team tried to equalize, but did not create dangerous opportunities, the defense of the Oradea formation doing brilliantly, a fact that also pleased the coach Florin Farcaș, who at the end appreciated the evolution of his students.

“It was a hard-earned victory, as expected. Poli Timisoara is a good team, a team that has a very good game organization. There were two different halves, our first half, completely controlled, with very good possession and progression in the opposition half, then, the second half, the opponent tried to surprise us with long balls, trying to recover the second ball or with balls recovered in the free space left behind the line of four. It was a fairly close game in the second half, after the score in the first half, so I think it’s a deserved victory”, said FC Bihor technician Florin Farcaş at the end.

It should be mentioned that after scoring in the 35th minute, the players of the Oradean team dedicated the goal to the president of the Oradean club George Tătar, showing a t-shirt with the number 26 with his name, April 26 being the birthday of the manager of the FC Bihor club. Thus, they wanted to send happy birthday to the leader of the III League who this season managed to attract over 350 thousand euros from the private sector to the club from Oradea.

Unfortunately, at the end, there were some more tense moments, when, after the final whistle of the referee Dragoş Nicolae Lunca from Cluj, the football players of the Oradea team went to celebrate in front of the gallery that accompanied them to Timisoara and that encouraged during the game. Claiming that they were provoked, some of the members of the Timisoara gallery stepped onto the lawn and headed towards the group of players of the Oradea team, but were stopped by the law enforcement officers. The Bihor players then went to the locker room, where they started the fiesta.
