The Minister of Labor announced the exact dates when the pensions will be transferred in May, both by card and by Romanian Post

Pensions will be transferred in advance in May, before Easter. The money will enter the pensioners’ accounts on May 2-3 and through the Romanian Post, the pensions will be delivered until May 3, including, declared Thursday, in a press conference in Timisoara, the Minister of Labor, Simona Bucura- Stop it.

The minister showed that through the government decision adopted on Thursday, the procedures can be started in April, so that the pensions can be transferred before Easter.

“Today we have two normative acts that facilitate the possibility of giving pensions to Romanians before the Easter holidays. The two are a GD and, respectively, a memorandum. The government decision is the one that allows us to start the institutional procedures in April, so that the money to be transferred on time both to the Romanian National Post Company, which delivers almost half of Romanians’ pensions through postal agents, and to feed the accounts of the commercial banks with which the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity, respectively the National Pension House has agreements, the 22 banking institutions, so that they, in turn, can make the transfers to Romanians before the Easter holidays. Our estimates are that both the Romanian Post and the banking institutions will fit into the schedule we agreed, a situation in which all Romanians will receive their pensions before Easter. The date on which they will receive them on their account is 2-3 May, instead of 12 May, the date we had in the convention, and the date on which the postal factors will deliver the pensions, until 3 May, including”, said Simona Bucura-Oprescu, according to Agerpres.

The minister mentioned that he discussed both with the representatives of the Romanian Post and of the banking institutions so that the pensions will be paid in advance in May.

“The aspects that concern us are the procedures so that the money is transferred on time to those we work with and also that all these institutional aspects are done on time. Furthermore, the internal organization, both of the banks and of Romanian Post, it’s up to them. What I can tell you is that both institutionally and informally, I have already discussed with each of these partners since Wednesday afternoon, since the Prime Minister outlined the task, both to us, as well as to the other colleagues in the Government who are responsible for the initiation of these procedures, so that the pensions are paid before Easter”, stated the Minister of Labor.
