Cristian Popescu Piedone, PUSL candidate, declared, on Wednesday, on Romania TV, that he rules out withdrawing from the Capital City Hall, after Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu declared shortly before that he would not ask him to withdraw from the race.

“Gabriela Firea, if from the beginning they accepted that PUSL should enter this alliance, I said, it doesn’t measure up, … I don’t know why Piedone actually allowed them…”, said the PUSL candidate (party founded by Dan Voiculescu).
He also said that the “downfall of the Alliance” PSD PNL favors him. “Ciolacu said that 90 percent vote with Firea. Today I am positioned with or without their will in the first place.
