The talented folk singer spoke about her artistic projects, one of which was made with her grandmother in mind, who unfortunately went through a terrible time a few years ago.

Ancuța flirted with music as a child, and through work she managed to fulfill her big dream. One of his songs tells the story of the grandmother who was left without a hand after it got caught in the train doors.

“Since I was little, music has been part of my life. I was not even two years old and I was dancing in front of the TV. Even though my parents took me abroad at a fairly young age, far from my native land, at the age of two to be exact. I grew up with folk music in the house. I inherit this gift from my mother. She too wanted to become, when she was little, a folk music performer and delight people’s souls.

Unfortunately, her dream never came true, because at that time girls got married early, quite young, but mom always had the hope that at least one of her girls would sing. I spent almost all my childhood in Spain, and at the age of 18 I decided to return to Romania to start my musical career. That’s when I made the first recordings of some songs”the beloved singer briefly tells about her musical beginnings, for Fanatik.

“It affected me quite a bit”

Through her music, Ancuța Birte wants to tell stories that reach the listeners’ souls. The latest song, “Your Smile”, is a love song. Ancuța does not sing only for ardent or wounded hearts!

One of the moments that deeply marked her, which she turned into art, was the episode when her dear grandmother lost her hand. “I fulfilled my grandmother’s wish to tell her story through a song. More precisely, it is about the love of animals, because she lost her hand when she wanted to buy a horse.

For the play in which my grandmother basically has the floor, I received a lot of criticism and mean comments. They hurt me, especially since I was at the beginning of my career then. It affected me quite a bit. I learned to get over it and I realized that the world is bad and I’m going to face things like that again”Ancuța Birte confessed, for Fanatik.

Which famous singer does the blonde want to collaborate with?

As for her future plans, the well-known folk music singer says she is already working on a few songs, with one of the projects even co-opting her nephew, Nicolas Birte. Among the bigger artists on the market, Ancuța has already set his sights on a few.

“There are many performers that I love. I would like to sing with them at least once. Andra is one of my favorites. I like her, plus she’s from Transylvania, from here to me”Ancuta told us, extremely excited, thus sending a message to Măruța’s wife.
