UVT obtains the accreditation of the Innovation and Technological Transfer Center (P) | TIMPOLIS

The West University of Timișoara has announced that it has obtained the accreditation certificate of the Innovation and Technological Transfer Center established within UVT, thus strengthening the institution’s commitment to the promotion of innovation and technological transfer.

This accreditation marks a significant step in strengthening the role of the Western University of Timisoara as a pole of innovation in the region and strengthens the center’s ability to offer top services in the fields of: Digital (Digital Economy and Space Technologies), Green (Environment and Eco-Technologies) , as well as Wellbeing (Health – prevention, diagnosis and advanced treatment).

UVT Innovation and Technological Transfer Center is now officially included in the ReNITT national network of technological infrastructures, which allows the university to participate in projects of national and international scope, to collaborate more effectively with industries and other academic entities, and to contribute to technology transfer between the university and the private sector. The National Network for Innovation and Technology Transfer (ReNITT) includes 50 specific organizations: technology transfer centers, technology information centers, technology and business incubators, 4 science and technology parks.

The Innovation and Technology Transfer Center offers a wide range of services, which include:

  1. documentary research and trademark registration support,
  2. training and information sessions on intellectual property,
  3. consultancy and assistance in technology transfer,
  4. consultancy and assistance in concluding licensing contracts/assignment of intellectual property rights,
  5. consultancy and assistance for sustainable development and sustainability,
  6. consultancy and assistance for the submission of Horizon Europe projects,
  7. consultancy and assistance for the promotion of science and innovative entrepreneurship.

For each of the three accredited fields there are a number of innovative services and products that are already present in the catalog available on the center’s website, a catalog that is constantly updated to include the latest results of research, development and innovation projects carried out by the teams of the university and its partners.

In the context of this new phase, UVT reiterates its commitment to support and encourage research, innovation and technology transfer for the benefit of the community and its partners.
