The Ministry of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, says, at the reception regarding the completion of the “Danube Delta” International Airport development project, that “only one problem remains, that of traffic”. He asks for facilities for tourism operators to increase traffic from the Tulcea airport.

“The main merit in everything that happened here today is given by the local administration, because it is an airport that is not under the coordination of the Ministry of Transport, as are those in Bucharest, Timisoara and Constanţa, but under the administration of the local administration. We only financed, that is 180 million”, says Sorin Grindeanu.

He identified, however, a problem.

“There is only one problem left, that of traffic. We can’t even have traffic without facilities. But I see, at least in the hall, big tour operators. I think that as long as you have a county that is unique in Europe, I don’t know of another region, another county in Europe that is like Tulcea, with the Danube Delta, I think that with help, that’s the lever with which it is possible to work, with facilities for tourism operators, it is possible to develop and increase the traffic of Tulcea airport as well”, concludes Grindeanu.

The Minister of Transport participated, on Wednesday, in the reception regarding the completion of the “Danube Delta” International Airport development project.
