Pro Romania withdraws from the alliance with PNL in Satu Mare. It will have its own candidates

--

The president of the Satu Mare County Organization of PNL, deputy Adrian Cozma, praised on April 5, 2024, during a press conference, the formation of a political alliance called: “Alliance for Satu Mare”. Together with the Pro Romania party, represented by former deputy Octavian Petric. It’s just that not even a month after that moment, it seems that PNL did not respect its commitments, which is why Pro Romania withdrew from this agreement.

The president of Pro Romania Satu Mare, Octavian Petric, also conveyed a position in this regard: “As the leader of Pro Romania, I agreed to enter into an alliance with PNL at the level of Satu Mare county because I believed that there was a viable and real project for Satu Mare, which would include several fields, from infrastructure, health , economy etc. But we found – unfortunately – that our expectations were not met.

We did not want an alliance against someone, based on ethnic or other criteria, but we wanted a constructive alliance. There were some preliminary discussions for the operation of the alliance, but they were not respected. That is why we decided that we – Pro Romania – withdraw from the alliance with PNL.

Pro Romania will have its own candidates both for the Satu Mare County Council and for the local councils of the municipalities, cities and communes in Satu Mare County”.
