A man from Teleorman was detained, and the investigators are asking for a preventive arrest warrant on his behalf, after he put another man on the ground and hit him in the head with a metal rod. The aggression took place in the public space, and everything started from an altercation between the victim and the aggressor’s wife.
“The police officers from Section 9 of the Videle Rural Police ordered the detention of a 28-year-old man from Blejeşti commune, Teleorman county, investigated in a criminal case prepared under the aspect of committing the crime of hitting or other violence. On April 5 this year, the police were notified by calling the single emergency number 112 about the fact that, in the area of the stadium in the town of Blejeşti, a person was being physically assaulted. The research highlighted the fact that, while he was on the ground, the victim (a 36-year-old man) was hit in the head with a blunt object by the 28-year-old man. As part of the investigation, on April 22 this year, the police implemented three home search warrants, in the communes of Blejeşti and Sârbeni, following the activities, the arrest of the person under investigation was ordered”, informs, on Tuesday, the officials of the Teleorman Police Inspectorate.
The aggressor and the victim know each other and live in the same area. On the day the scandal took place, the 36-year-old man had an altercation with the aggressor’s wife. The 28-year-old man hit the 36-year-old, put him on the ground and hit him with a metal rod.
Fighters from the Teleorman Special Actions Service intervened at the scene of the events.
On Tuesday, the aggressor will be presented to the court.
