Nicolae Ciucă: The mayor must have an agenda in permanent openness with the man
During a visit to Dolj County, Senate President Nicolae Ciucă declared, in Calafat, that liberal mayors must always be open with the citizens.
“If you want, we can make a report between the liberal administrations and the other administrations. At the PNL level, the multiplication rate of projects is 5 to 1. This means that we have professional people, that we know and that we care about people, this is the PNL team and this is what I will constantly ask of them from here on”, declared Nicolae Ciucă .
The PNL leader also spoke about the desertification phenomenon of southern Romania, of which Dolj county is also a part.
“We have come to guarantee you our support. Unfortunately, Dolj county has 120 thousand hectares that have entered the desertification process, and when it comes to planting forests, we made projects starting from the road I used to take when I was a child and passing through the acacia forests.
I read what the danger is regarding desertification, I ran a project starting with people from the senatorial cabinet to the mayors, the sand dunes grew by 2-3 meters, it is really a danger.
I tell the liberals to go to the people and honestly recognize what they succeeded and what they failed to do, it is important to have this honest dialogue with the people”, said Ciucă.

Also during the meetings in Dolj county, the president of the National Liberal Party, Nicolae Ciucă, in Poiana Mare commune met with part of the liberal team in the area. Ciucă sent several important messages, emphasizing the importance of local administration and the need to turn promises into concrete actions.
In his speech, Nicolae Ciucă admitted that he came to Dolj not for himself, but to appreciate the efforts of the mayor and his team in the development of the commune. He emphasized the importance of projects financed both from European funds and from other sources, as a sign of liberal administration.
The PNL president encouraged transparency and honesty in communication, stressing that it is essential that liberals tell people the truth and focus on facts, not empty words. It also highlighted the importance of the middle class and the support given to small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in liberal policies.
“I still ask everyone to tell people the reality, there is no point in stringing together empty words, we are doing nothing but deceiving ourselves,” said Ciucă.
Referring to the achievements of the liberal government, Nicolae Ciucă highlighted the economic growth based on investments and the undertaking of important projects such as the Craiova-Bucuresti Expressway. At the same time, he emphasized the efforts in education and health, highlighting the benefits of national programs such as hot meals for students.
The PNL president urged perseverance and action to complete the projects started and to solve the real problems facing the local communities. He called on branch leaders and mayors to have the courage to speak to the people and turn promises into deeds.
Also, in his speech, Nicolae Ciucă emphasized the importance of concrete changes in people’s lives, both for those who live in the country and for those who work abroad. In this context, the PNL leader pleaded for the transformation of infrastructure and living conditions into a national priority.
